EASY TO USE, NO NEED TO ADJUST CUTTERS - Unlike other tools you don't need to keep adjusting the cutter. The cutter is hardened M2 high speed steel that is open on one side to prevent clogging, which is a common problem with other end grain/hollowing tools. It also cuts at much slower speeds eg. 500 rpm, minimizing secondary shavings.

Product Description

Woodcut Tools is a small family owned business with over 30 years experience. Designed by turners, for turners. Made in New Zealand. The Pro-Forme is easy to use and especially easy to sharpen using a diamond file such as the Woodcut Tools Credit Card Diamond Hone, available on Amazon. Unlike other tools you don't need to keep adjusting the cutter. The cutter is made from hardened M2 high speed steel that is open on the side to prevent clogging, common with other end grain/hollowing tools.

The adjustable safety gauge determines the depth of cut and prevents dig-ins. Designed for cross and end grain, as well as dry and green wood. Each cutter is re-sharpenable and replaceable to ensure a long life.

The straight shaft is designed to produce the opening and remove the wood down the sides and across the bottom of the vessel. Slightly bent and Bent shafts are also available.
All Pro-Forme tools feature a heavy duty 5/8" diameter shaft that will reach up to 10" over the tool rest.
Also included is a 20" spigot handle which has a comfortable cushioned grip for long periods at the lathe. For extra length an additional handle can be purchased and fitted onto the supplied handle.
